In a jambliner conversion, your original window sash is removed from the frame. The sash is cut down and grooved to accept the new jambliner. New weather-stripping, locks, and insulation are installed to eliminate all drafts. The sashes are then reinstalled into their openings and adjusted to fit snugly.
The Dublin Sash System gives you state-of-the-art energy efficiency, while retaining the character of your old windows.
These jambliners are custom manufactured for your windows. The central slot allows a more efficient weather-strip at the meeting rails. Each jambliner is backed with a closed cell foam pad for compressibility or a hindge flap to reduce infiltration. Each jambliner is loaded with block and tackle spring balances sized for your window's weight, with locking knife lever catches for easy sash tilt-in. The Kit comes with all weather-stripping pieces installed into the jambliner. The jambliners simply need to be cut to fit the height of the jamb opening and installed (detailed instructions included). All other components are shown here (photos coming soon); the standard sash locks can be white or bronze finish, or a solid brass reproduction. The silicone bulb weather-stripping is used in the sash rails.
All components are of the finest quality available and are warranteed for one full year.
